This morning we picked almost 9 pounds of blueberies!
We visited Bryant Blueberry Farm in Arlington, WA. It was a fun activity for us, and we got them for a steal–$2.50 per pound!
Bryant Blueberry Farm has not received organic certification, but the folks who operate this small family farm do their best to incorporate sustainable practices whenever possible.
We were lucky, we arrived during their first weekend open for u-pick. We were covered up with delicious berries!
Cadence also volunteered her services in the name of blueberries. She was very interested in their resident hooved greeters.
Tayberries too! What are those? A tayberry is a cross between a blackberry and a red raspberry.
We tied buckets around our waists and went a pickin’.
Job done, we went down to the Stillaguamish River for a dip.
It was a lovely Saturday, and now we have many blueberry culinary treats to try!
